An old-style classic sparkling wine, dominated by Rebula (70%) and complemented by Chardonnay (30%). The 2013 vintage marked a turning point for the Čarga winery, when the young owner Martin and his wife Polonca had twins, followed by double work, double effort, and of course double bottle – the magnum sparkling wine.
Long maturation is the main quality of sparkling wines made primarily from Ribolla. This is confirmed by the 6 years of maturation on the lees in the bottle. Disgorged in January 2021.
Without expedition liqueur (naturally dry – 1.6 g/L)
A straw yellow sparkling wine with golden hues. A wonderful blend of balanced freshness, fruity citrus notes and ripe aromas of toasted bread crust, nuts, butter and honey, a hint of vanilla and sweet spices, proof of the long maturation on the lees.
Its character is rich and elegant, with just the right amount of minerality and a smooth aftertaste. The fine, persistent bubbles develop a perfect perlage.
