Wine from exceptional vintages and selected vineyards.
A wine made predominantly from Merlot, with a touch of Cabernet Franc (15%), obtained exclusively from the Vrtič vineyard. The Merlot is harvested in two parts: the first is the result of classic wine cultivation, the second is the result of careful selection of the grapes, which were then dried for two months in an old barn. The wine was vinified separately by variety and, after three years of maturation in barriques and large wooden barrels, was blended into a single wine. Before being bottled in November 2019, it was left for six months in a concrete tank.
The finished wine has a deep ruby red colour with pomegranate hues and intense aromas of ripe fruit, jam, dried grapes, cocoa, and vanilla. The rich and elegant body is complemented by soft tannins and a long coffee aftertaste. A robust wine ready for ageing. Decanting is recommended to allow it to develop its full aromatic potential. A perfect match with selected game dishes, cheese, or mutton.
